Delaware Journeyman:

According to the Bureau Of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for electricians is $51,880.

Journeyperson Electrician licensure in the State of Delaware allows you to perform electrical services under supervision while you gain additional experience and master the skills that you will need to pass the examinations for Master, Limited, Master Special or Limited Special Electrician licensure.

Get ready for the exam with the Delaware 2014 Journeyperson Electrician Study Guide, available at Brown Technical Publications.

To apply by exam, you must submit Verification of Employment forms showing at least 8,000 hours of full-time experience performing electrical work under the supervision of a licensed master electrician, master electrician special, limited electrician, or limited electrician special.

The Board of Electrical Examiners must approve you to sit for the examination. The application is available on the State of Delaware site listed below. When the Board has approved your application, the Board office will send you the examination registration form.

Starting April 15, 2016, all Electrical examinations will be based on the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC). You must obtain a minimum score of 75% to pass the exam. After you pass, submit the following to the Board office:
