Reciprocity

Reciprocity agreements between the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and other state's Licensing Boards allow a contractor to receive credit in Louisiana for approved classifications held with the reciprocal board without taking the Louisiana trade exam. Reciprocity also allows a company to be exempted from the 60-day waiting period for out-of-state contractors.  Louisiana offers Contractor's License reciprocity with the following states:

• Ohio
• South Carolina
• Tennessee
• Texas
• Utah
• Virginia
